A Hand Up, Not a Handout
A woman's time at Brooks House is meant to be a season of rebuilding and preparation. Most women stay for 6-12 months, using that time to regain stability, strengthen life skills, and prepare for permanent housing.
Through trusted local partners and community relationships, residents are connected to resources that support long-term independence, including:
Educational Services
Residents may access educational support to continue coursework, complete certifications, or build skills that strengthen long-term stability.
Dental Services
Through community partnerships, residents may access dental care to address both routine and urgent needs.
Career Advancement & Employment Services
Women receive guidance and connections that support job readiness, employment opportunities, and long-term career growth.
Mental Health Services
Counseling and emotional support are available through referral partnerships, helping residents process challenges and build resilience.
Medical Services
Residents are connected to local healthcare providers to address ongoing medical needs and support overall well-being.
Mentoring
Residents may be paired with mentors who offer encouragement, accountability, and perspective during this season of growth.
Financial Counseling
Budgeting support and financial guidance help women build healthy money habits and prepare for independent living.
Transition to Permanent Housing
As residents prepare to move forward, we support the transition to stable, permanent housing through planning, connections, and practical guidance.
Legal Counseling
When needed, residents may be connected to legal resources that help address barriers related to housing, family matters, or other concerns.
Spiritual Support & Counseling
Rooted in Christian compassion, we offer prayer and spiritual encouragement to all residents.
